Google Authorship verification

I pasted my authorship markup into the head section via Theme Options panel however it's showing as a small white bar at the top of the page. See screenshot http://cl.ly/image/3B3K1L2m1h43

I also deleted it from Theme Options and tried to do it manually via FTP, but same thing.

So I think I might be putting it in the wrong place.

Thoughts?
